The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my recent visit at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The State of the Venue : Squalid and Abandoned
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was apparent that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The floorboards were filthy, and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms polluted the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it had accumulated over weeks.
